Ok, they are on the news so much lately, the big debate about who MIGHT be our next president! The female Clinton! or the African American Obama!? Ok, this is really amazing to me. Our next president might change the color//sex line of the president. All the other presidents have been white males, but now it might be a white female, or a black male!
I personally think neither will become president. I mean on the news they called Obama a naive(sp?) person, for pete's sake, he was talking about meeting with the prime ministers of othe country's like Iraq! Then there is Clinton, she sounding exactly like Bush! And hey, that is even how the news describe her.
Anyway, enough of my jabbering, who do you think?

We all want one certain word to come true but that word is not easy to come by. Victory has many meanings, but all are harder then they seem to become real.
We all try hard to give our lives meaning. We strive to win, but it hardly ever works out. |

I'm not sure who I'm going to vote for yet. I'm definitely excited at the prospect of having someone who isn't a white male in the White House, but I think I'll save my decision for when we're actually somewhat close to the election. Personally, I think getting ready for this over a year and a half out was just rediculous.
I do think I will probably end up voting for one of these candidates though, as opposed to a Republican. For the most part, the GOP candidates are just too closed minded for me.

Yeah, that's true. I'm not old enough to vote yet and I'm thinking about it. I wish I was though, if they both end up running against each other ((which I hope will not )) it'll be a funny race. I mean, these to are up under each others' skins with every comment the other makes.

Well it will eventually be whittled down to one, with the Democratic primaries. The real determining factor will be the GOP candidate that the Republicans pick in their primary.
I think it will be a Democrat year, though, if history repeats itself (which it does). Low approval ratings for the GOP Bush now = Democrat for the next 8 years.

lol, I remember that so that in...8 years I can see if your right . I bet it'll be a democratic too because I hear the America wants a democratic because they are tired of the republics. ((I am an American, but since I can't vote I don't quite get into the government...))

I'll be 18 by the time the election rolls around, so unfortunately I have to start paying attention. I'm also fresh off an AP history course, so believe me when I say the election cycles of this country have been pounded into me like there's no tomorrow.

To tell ya something, I'll be 14 in Feb. so yeah.
lol, I would hate that. I had civics this past year ((course on the government)) instead of history, which I'm not sure which would be better, and I felt like sleeping during class everyday ((part of the reason is that the class is my first class of the day, so it would be at...7:50 AM))

If it came down to those two. I'd say the polls are fixed.

lol, yeah I guess your right. I doubt either one will win, but hey, if one does, that means the US is getting better in terms of equalness((if that is even a word)).

Lol. The Dems have a good battle strategy. Not do anything except pin Conservatives against a wall. Congress has worse approval rating than Bush. If I was forced to choose, Obama. Illinois is closer to me than New York. Equality is also relative. Well, I don't believe in Obama's opinion about kindergartners. But that won't fly.
